I am incredibly proud of Land & Light as it showcases many of my favourite photographs (including my work with a large format 4x5 camera) from the past three decades and some personal musings behind the images. In many ways, it is a continuation or follow-up to my first book "Quiet Light". (Still available from Kozu books)

Choosing photographs is always challenging for any portfolio, especially if the images within a collection don't follow a particular theme. Another obstacle is that my favourites don't always align with what viewers from the outside might consider my best work. With Land & Light, I have attempted to match small groups of three or more photographs that relate to one another in some form or another. Sometimes, it might be a season, complimentary colours or an often-visited location. Land & Light is a body of work that inspired me to recollect personal memories of why or when I took the picture. In some cases, when I went through my library of work, a particular photograph would bring me back to a memory that I thought related to the image. It has been a fascinating process for me that I hope you will equally find enjoyable as you browse the portfolio of work and words.
