For this photograph, I really enjoyed watching the light move across the landscape. It wasn’t until I noticed the sidelight on the trees in the background that I started to play around with the composition. Making some order out of chaos is always a welcome challenge for me, and in this composition, I loved the separation between foreground trunks and the individual trees. As an added bonus, the trees all lit up simultaneously while contrasting nicely with the darker mountain in the background.
